Salman Khan Quits Bigg Boss OTT Season 3 As a Host
The reality show Bigg Boss is going to return with the third season of Bigg Boss OTT, but the new season will not have superstar Salman Khan as its host. There are reports that Salman Khan will no longer host Bigg Boss OTT season 3 and that the hosting responsibilities will be with actor Anil Kapoor.
Reasons for Quitting
It is said that Salman Khan has quit the show because of his interest in his new film, Sikandar, directed by AR Murugadoss. Bigg Boss OTT season 3 host Salman Khan has decided to shoot for the said film starting next month, which is the primary reason behind his stepping down as a host for the show.
Anil Kapoor as a host
Meanwhile, actor Anil Kapoor will be hosting Bigg Boss OTT season 3 as the show host. As per sources, Anil Kapoor has agreed to host the show.
Hints Dropped
The fans were initially confused between OTT and Bigg Boss 15, but the makers gave a clue through a promo. On April 7, Jio Cinema posted a one-minute announcement promo on their Instagram page, where they revealed that the new edition of Bigg Boss, Bigg Boss OTT, will be starting next month in June. Lastly, there comes the voiceover that says, “Yeh season hoga khaas ekdum jhakaas.” The term ‘jhakaas’ has been very much linked with Anil Kapoor.
About Bigg Boss OTT
Bigg Boss and Bigg Boss OTT are Indian reality television shows. The first Bigg Boss OTT season was broadcast on the digital platform Voot and was anchored by filmmaker Karan Johar. Salman Khan returned as the host of Bigg Boss OTT 2 after replacing Karan Johar. It first aired in 2021, and Divya Agarwal was declared the winner of the first season. The show was back with a second season in 2023, and influencer Elvish Yadav was declared the winner of the show.
